Some people who get Supplemental Security Income (SSI) may also get help from SNAP. When you do not have much money, getting your money the same day could make a big difference.
In fact, there is good news for people who get SSI: in November, they will get two payments. Of course, one for November and one for December. Both must be sent ahead of time, by November 29, 2024.
SSI payment and SNAP benefits on November 1
The next payment for Supplemental Security Income will be made on November 1. This was confirmed by the Federal Government through the Social Security Administration.
These are the states that will start giving out food stamps on November 1. The USDA and its Food and Nutrition Service have also confirmed this list. Some will not send SNAP payments until November 1. This is to make sure that everyone gets the same paycheck.
States that send full SNAP benefits on November 1:
- Alaska,
- Vermont
- North Dakota
- Rhode Island
- U.S. Virgin Islands
Starting November 1, states will send SNAP and SSI on the same payment.
For a few days or weeks, some states will switch SNAP payments to EBT cards. Go to https://www.fns.usda.gov/snap/monthly-issuance-schedule on the USDA website to see if you are eligible for the January Food Stamp payment. In these states as well, all SSI payouts will be made on November 1.
