Every year, Alaskans receive the Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD). The State of Alaska makes the stimulus payment using the interest from its oil income. Anyone who has resided in Alaska for the entire year prior to submitting their application is eligible for the Permanent Fund Dividend.
As the third month of the year begins, residents are preparing to receive their stimulus payment, which is the annual transfer of income generated from their natural resources.
The Alaska Permanent Fund was established in 1976 to administer the state’s oil revenues through the Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation and distribute them to Alaskans, who then use the money to pay for necessities such as housing, food, and healthcare.
The PFD stimulus payment worth $1,700 was confirmed for this month
To ensure that Alaskans benefit financially from the state’s oil and gas profits, the PFD distributes a portion of natural resource revenues. The Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation manages the budget, which provides a consistent yearly income stream for eligible people.
Every year, from January 1 to March 31, applications for the PFD must be submitted online or by mail for each family member. Approximately 600,000 Alaskans are eligible for the assistance, which has increased to $1,702 for the current year.
According to the PFD website, dividend applications for 2024 (and previous years) that were marked as “Eligible-Unpaid” on March 12, 2025 will be paid out on March 20, 2025. To qualify, you must be a registered Alaska resident who has lived there for at least a year and has no immediate plans to leave the state.
In addition to not having been imprisoned for a felony in the last 12 months or for a misdemeanor if they have been convicted of a felony or two misdemeanors since January 1, 1997, interested applicants must have worked a minimum of 72 consecutive hours in Alaska within the previous 24 months.

Stimulus payment in California
Sacramento, California, has established the Sacramento Family First Economic Support Pilot (FFESP), a basic income pilot program. Once selected families in these states have met all of the program’s requirements, they will receive $725 per month.
The initiative aims to provide financial stability to low-income households while also investigating the community’s response to guaranteed income. The success of the pilot will determine the program’s continuation, making it unique at the moment. There are no other initiatives like FFESP in other states or localities.
