Based on the data we have, Aurora is the poorest of the 313 towns in the state. A household in Aurora makes only $32,287 a year, which is 58.4% less than the median household income in the state.

Because of the low incomes, it is not a surprise that more than the average number of people living there are poor. The rate of poverty in the town is 24.7%, while the rate across the whole state is 9.2%.

Some towns were left out if the 2021 ACS did not have information on their median household income or if the sampling error for their data was thought to be too high.
