After her husband was paralyzed in a car accident, a Malaysian woman took care of him for six years. When he got better, he divorced her and married someone else.
It is said that Nurul Syazwani married her husband in 2016. According to Sin Chew Daily, the couple had been married for two years but living apart because they had a son together. Then, her husband was in a car accident that left him needing care around the clock.
Once Syazwani had been taking care of him full-time for about a year, she started writing about her life on Facebook.
She gained more than 32,000 followers by posting about the things she had to do every day, like feeding her husband through a nasogastric tube and changing his diapers.
People who follow Syazwani were shocked to learn last week that her husband had married someone else.
This happened after Syazwani shared a photo of their wedding with the words, “Congratulations to my ‘husband.'” I hope the one you picked makes you happy. Aifa Aizam, please look after him like I did. I am done with him; now it is your turn.”
In a different post, Syazwani said that she and her husband got a divorce on October 6 after “fulfilling their responsibilities as a married couple.” Additionally, she said that she and her ex-husband are going to share parenting of their son and that “everything happens for a reason.”
Sin Chew Daily said that the ex-husband and his new wife got married a week after his divorce from Syazwani was finalized.
