College Football Teams, Fans Battle for Superiority (Kind of)

Isn’t college football the best? It may be the end of May and we won’t have college football on our screens for three more months, but it still finds a way to entertain us.

@nocontextcfb posted an Auburn recruiting graphic flexing that the school is “The Only SEC School With a Buc-ee’s,” and thus a trend of college football coaches, team social accounts, and fans trying to out-niche each other began on Twitter.

Here’s a collection of some of our favorites, beginning with Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin joining the fun.

Only on college football Twitter is this a supreme flex. Also, the fact that somebody got paid to make this graphic is incredible.

Plato the Publixaurus completes this graphic. I’ll happily sign a petition for every supermarket in America to have its own mascot. It should be required by law.

The Michigan State student athlete with his back up against a ice cream cookie sandwich is an impeccable touch.

Of all the things that Georgia fans could flex, this one is the most impressive.

“Pizza Shuttle is well known and the best pizza horns down.” Oklahoma fans’ dedication to topping Texas in any way possible is remarkable no matter what side of the rivalry you’re on.

As Robert Griffin III would say, “this is the glizzy of donuts right here.”

Again, every supermarket in America needs a mascot. I mean look at H-E-Buddy. He’s an icon. Also, I found out that H-E-B stands for Howard E. Butt and the store used to be called C.C. Butt Grocery Store. Do with that what you will.

Drake University: Founded in 1881. Drake the rapper: born in 1986. This checks out.

*Insert Homer Simpson mouthwatering GIF here*

I have entered the transfer portal and am 110% committed to Appalachian State University. Please respect my decision.

Fun fact: this pyramid is actually one of the tallest pyramids in the world at 321 feet.

“It’s just fried chicken but it’s really good.” I’m sold already.

Twitter should’ve flagged this for disinformation.

South Carolina deserves an SEC championship just for this alone.
