Memes of the Week – Week Eleven

11 weeks of college football are in the books, and the memes just keep on coming. I can not thank you all enough for the support on here and on Twitter at @NoContextCFB! I hope you enjoy my top five memes of week 11.

5. It’s Dangerous

No shock here. Lane Kiffin makes another Memes of the Week article. The guy just keeps churning out elite content. Coach Kiffin was the guest picker on College GameDay and had some great moments but none better than when he picked Tennessee to beat Georgia. Whoops. He said Kirby Smart called him up and asked what it’s like playing at Neyland Stadium. Answer? “It is a very dangerous place to play.” A master troll references the game from a few weeks ago which we all remember; it’s impossible to forget. Lane Kiffin just keeps on making us laugh, and his team keeps impressing us on the field.

4. Shirtless Storm

Things get weird in college football… we know this. But things got WEIRD in Waco at the end of Baylor’s win over Oklahoma. Lincoln Riley was begging that a second be left on the clock in a 24-14 game, Baylor fans were already all over the field and OU players were headed to the locker room. The scene was beautiful; Riley was livid and wanted another play. He got his wish, and every fan on the field was forced to exit and then re-storm after the final play. (Baylor kicked a field goal to make it a 13-point win by the way; elite trolling!) Now look at this dude storming the field without a shirt on. What an image. Imagine not loving college football when we get to witness historic moments like this and now have a great meme!

3. Ko Knows

Minnesota’s Ko Kieft was seen on the sideline sporting a new look and uh wow… that is something. My ginger brother is pulling off a look not many would dare — he cut the luscious long locks and is rocking a ponytail off just a lone patch of hair on the back of his shaved head. It’s certainly a look and I applaud him for the confidence. However I would never dare attempt this look… what do you think of Kieft’s hair?

2. Walk-On Walk-Off Jayhawk Winner

It’s always a party whenever the Kansas football team is in a close game and has the opportunity to create a massive upset. The Jayhawks did that on Saturday as they stunned Texas in Austin for their first ever win at Texas! The party gets even crazier when it’s a 57-56 win in OT as they converted a two-point conversion to win. But who caught the game-winning score? Some dude wearing #47, a legend named Jared Casey. A walk-on, a redshirt freshman, a Kansas native, a FULLBACK. YOU CAN’T SCRIPT IT ANY BETTER! And then you have this beautiful celebration to cap off the party. College football is PERFECT!

1. No Shirts Needed

Indiana has been a massive disappointment this season and there has been almost nothing to be excited about. In the Hoosiers’ home game against Rutgers, the fans got creative and found a way to spark excitement. A few people in a section took their shirts off, and they were going crazy. Then some people joined them. And then even more people joined until there was an entire section of shirtless dudes… WHAT!!? This is something we have never seen before and it is COMEDY. This was GOOD and I think I speak for everyone when I say… Indiana fans need to do this again at the next home game.

And those were the top five memes of week 11! I hope these were able to make you laugh. I’ll be back next week to share more hilarious CFB moments!

About the author

I am a diehard UCLA fan that has enjoyed (?) mediocrity year after year. My favorite CFB moment was witnessing UCLA comeback from 34 down against Texas A&M. Being at the Rose Bowl for that historic moment is something I’ll never forget. I have written about CFB since I was 14 and my favorite thing to do is give under-the-radar athletes the recognition they deserve. You might know me from @NoContextCFB !
