Memes of the Week – Week Two

Bruh… week two of college football had so many incredible memes. It was super hard to rank just five! I hope you all enjoy the five I came up with. Let me know what your favorite meme of the week was!

5. Ashton Kutcher’s Hilarious Hook ‘Em

LOL. I have no idea what Ashton Kutcher was doing here when he flashed the Hook ‘Em Horns signal as he picked Texas. It looks so weird and it’s obviously really funny. I’m not sure what was more embarrassing: the Texas performance vs. Arkansas or Kutcher’s Hook ‘Em. Okay nevermind, it was easily the Longhorns performance.

4. The Team Name Bulldogs

Yes, I am a sucker for incorrect graphic packages. On College GameDay, they showed the top 10 teams, and for some reason Team Name was ranked No. 2 in the country. I for one did not have Team Name in my top 25, so this was quite a shock! However, I am looking forward to Team Name’s highly anticipated game vs. Bishop Sycamore.

3. Three Shocked Florida State Cheerleaders

Welp. After an inspiring performance in week one that almost netted a remarkable comeback, Florida State dropped the ball yet again and got embarrassed by Jacksonville State in the final seconds. Jacksonville State scored on the final play of the game, and every FSU fan was shocked and absolutely dumbfounded in this moment. We were given this hilarious moment of three Florida State cheerleaders walking away from the endzone that Jacksonville State just scored in. The look on their faces says it all… What a meme.

2. Vintage BYU Trash Talk

The Holy War is a heated rivalry, and it clearly brings out the worst in Utah and BYU fans. I mean, just look at this image of two BYU fans taking trash talk to another level. “Frick Utah.” So vile. And a sign decoding what the acronym MILF means… Man I Love Football. Were these BYU fans leaning into the stereotypes or are they really just the stereotype?

1. REF DOWN! REF DOWN!

The Michigan/Washington game was not very entertaining as expected. But hey, this moment where the ref just completely faceplants was pretty entertaining. Washington’s Trent McDuffie just tosses him the ball, and the running ref completely loses control of his balance and tumbles to the ground and the ball even hit him in the head. The ref was okay and not injured as well, so that’s good! This short video was elite content, and I’m glad it made a ton of people laugh.

Thank you for reading this weeks edition of Memes of the Week! I hope you all enjoyed!!

I am a diehard UCLA fan that has enjoyed (?) mediocrity year after year. My favorite CFB moment was witnessing UCLA comeback from 34 down against Texas A&M. Being at the Rose Bowl for that historic moment is something I’ll never forget. I have written about CFB since I was 14 and my favorite thing to do is give under-the-radar athletes the recognition they deserve. You might know me from @NoContextCFB !
