NoContextCFB’s Memes of the Week – Week 2

Much like Texas, we’re back! Week 2 was ELITE and easily provided the best content for us college football fans in quite a while. There were upsets, there was chaos, there was madness, and there were amazing fans. It was a thrilling day and it’s time to share five of my favorite memes from a jam-packed weekend. 5. The WORST Field Goal EVER

I normally wouldn’t include a field goal attempt in my top memes of the week. But when an attempt at three points is quite possibly the worst kick of all time… you’ve gotta include it… right?

4. Texas Is Sad

First off, I am legit sad for this guy and every other Texas fan who is going through it. The Longhorns should’ve won this game, especially if Quinn Ewers didn’t go down. But nonetheless… we appreciate the sadness over here and have to recognize this reaction as a top meme of the week. 

3. A Legendary Surrender Cobra

Choosing my favorite meme from the Baylor-BYU game was more difficult than those kickers trying to make a field goal. I landed on this one though as opposed to a meme about the moon, a missed field goal, or one of the many insane memes we got from the Cougar Tail segment. I truly believe that this surrender cobra should be inducted into the Hall of Fame. It’s got all of the ingredients that make a cobra so special. The look of agony here is near unmatched. It’s like the missed game-winner for his favorite team hurt him, but the fact a BYU game was creeping into the early Sunday hours hurt even as much if not more. What a game though. What a moment.

2. Jayden de Laura’s Heisman Moment

The late night window was C-R-A-Z-Y! This insane play from Jayden de Laura was just the delectable appetizer of what became an extravagant five-course meal. There are at least five times that you audibly scream WHAT?! during this play. It’s amazing. 

1. Best Seat in the House

It’s no secret. People are strange. People will do weird things. This was super strange, super weird, and super entertaining. For some unknown reason, this LSU fan WALKED ONTO THE FIELD DURING THE GAME. He’s ON THE FIELD while a PLAY IS BEING RUN. HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN???!! I have no words. I have no thoughts. I just have the ability to share this moment with y’all.

I am a diehard UCLA fan that has enjoyed (?) mediocrity year after year. My favorite CFB moment was witnessing UCLA comeback from 34 down against Texas A&M. Being at the Rose Bowl for that historic moment is something I’ll never forget.
