Prolific Pick’em — The Best Underdog Fantasy College Football Plays of Week 6

Last week was so close to being excellent as we went 2-1 and missed a sweep by a few Riley Leonard yards… darn. We go again and look to crush it this week!

Da’Quan Felton — Higher Than 48.5 Receiving Yards

I love this number at 48.5! Da’Quan Felton is a very underrated wideout and is facing a suspect Florida State secondary that has given up chunk plays in the passing game all season long. Felton has demanded targets due to his large 6-foot-5, 215-pound frame, and he offers a massive catch radius that quarterbacks can find comfort in throwing to. He’s gone higher than this number just twice — 84 against Rutgers and 81 against Pitt. I’m banking on him to get plenty of targets here in a game where Virginia Tech should be trailing most of the game. Pass the ball when you’re down big, throw on this mediocre secondary, and get Felton higher than 48.5 receiving yards.

Tyler Brown – Higher Than 59.5 Receiving Yards

I’ve been slandering Clemson plenty the past few seasons because it was clear that the ship was beginning to sink. That ship is going down right now and you’re all aware of it. However, a bright spot was found. A new passenger was introduced to the country: Tyler Brown. He’s not the prototypical wide receiver that Clemson has recruited in years past. He’s quite the opposite. Brown is the best wide receiver the Tigers have had in that room since Justyn Ross, and it’s mission critical to get Brown the rock. The former three-star and now true freshman has burst onto the scene with remarkable games against FAU, Florida State, and Syracuse. He caught two tuddies against FAU, went for 84 yards against FSU, and went crazy with nine catches for 153 rec yards against Syracuse. He’s the real deal and offers Clemson a dangerous threat in all levels, but most importantly over the top as a burner. 59.5 is a really low number in my opinion, and Brown should soar past it against a solid Wake Forest defense.

Raheim “Rocket” Sanders — Higher Than 0.5 Rush + Receiving TDs

The market has reacted to our cheat code Andrew Armstrong, so we move on to a new Razorback in the form of Raheim “Rocket” Sanders. He’s struggled mightily this season due to injuries, but I still see the promise in his game that made all of us so excited about this talent. Against a mediocre Ole Miss defense, I expect Sam Pittman to get his star back in the end zone at least one time. Get his mojo back and be prepared to unleash the beast the rest of the season.

I am a diehard UCLA fan that has enjoyed (?) mediocrity year after year. My favorite CFB moment was witnessing UCLA comeback from 34 down against Texas A&M. Being at the Rose Bowl for that historic moment is something I’ll never forget. I have written about CFB since I was 14 and my favorite thing to do is give under-the-radar athletes the recognition they deserve. You might know me from @NoContextCFB !
